vulnerability in the android G1 phone!
so this is awesome. in certain contexts, like right after you reboot or if you didnt do anything that would bring you out of this “context”, the android phone accepts inputs from stdin and executes them as root. so, you can just type “reboot”, the enter, and even if the phone is locked, it will reboot the phone. totally awesome. you can do other fun things, such as run telnetd and then log into it remotely as root. if you just type “cat”, then it hangs your phone. there are some stuff it wont take such as slashes, so you cant do “cat /dev/random > /dev/sound”. you can, however, do that once you telnet into your phone. man, that makes a great ringtone.
